DeshiAds (“DeshiAds”, “we”, “us”) operates deshiads.be, a free classified-ads platform for the Bangladeshi community in Belgium. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why, how we use it, and the choices and rights you have — including under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Contract — to create your account, let you post ads, and enable messaging with other users, we process your data because it's necessary to provide the service you asked for.
Legitimate interest — to keep DeshiAds safe and working well, we process data for fraud prevention, ad moderation, basic security logging, and improving the site.
Consent — for non-essential cookies (analytics and advertising, including Google AdSense), we only process your data if you give consent through our cookie banner, and you can withdraw it at any time.
Legal obligation — where we're required to retain or disclose data by Belgian or EU law (for example, tax records for payments).
We use cookies and similar technologies to run the site, understand how it's used, and — only with your consent — to show ads.
These keep you logged in, remember your language, and protect the site from abuse. They don't require consent and can't be switched off.
DeshiAds works with Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its advertising partners may set cookies on your device to serve ads, including personalised ads based on your visits to deshiads.be and other websites, and to measure ad performance. These cookies are only set if you accept them in our cookie banner. We use privacy-conscious analytics (Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights) to understand how the site performs and is used, only after you consent.

Some of our processors (including Google and Stripe) may transfer data outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, they do so under safeguards recognised by the GDPR, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
We keep your account and ad data for as long as your account is active. If you delete an ad, it's removed from public view immediately and permanently deleted from our database on a routine schedule. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must keep it longer for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention reasons.

DeshiAds is not directed at children, and you must be at least 18 years old to create an account. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children.
